The purpose of this webpage is simply to serve as a central point of information for people interested in either co-ordinating or joining a local co-active group. You will find at the bottom of the page the names and emails of coaches and people working with Co-Active coaching who have stepped forward to help form a group in their area. If you live in one of these areas and want to join them in forming a local Co-Active Group, then just get in touch! If you know you are ready to step forward in your area as a co-ordinator, then just email me at nick@co-activecoaching.co.uk, and we’ll add you to the listing.
The structure and form of each group is something that must be determined by the group members themselves. If you are thinking of creating a group, here are some of the questions you might like to ask when deciding what format it should take.
Do you live close enough to each other for all the meetings to be face-to-face or do you need some to be virtual?
How often you will meet – bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly?
What will be the focus of the group? Support, supervision, or social?
Will there be any expenses incurred? If so how will you share them?
What will be the capacity of the group? Will it be open or closed?
Will one person be leading the group, or will there be a rotating chair (i.e not something you sit on, but each week, a different member holds the focus)?
If the focus is support and supervision, will you have rules about the structure of the group, and what is necessary to create a supportive environment? (For example, no alcohol consumption; equal allocation of time for each member, or not; having a clear intention about how you use the co-active coaching model together)
Will the group take place at the same venue every meeting, or will it take place at a different persons house each time?
There follows a list of group co-ordinators, and where meetings have been set, dates and locations.
Central London - 'The Hub Club'.
More Information: This group is open to all Co-Active Coaches wherever you are located. The intention of the group is to support each other to stretch outside of our comfort zones and rules that we’ve made up about how to coach, who to be as a coach and how to run a coaching business or coaching within an organisation. Basically to turn our ideas about coaching topsy-turvy, expand ourselves as coaches and have fun doing it!
York Coaches group meets bi-monthly in York, usually on the 2nd
Monday in the month 7.30-9.30pm.
Venue will normally be Miller's Yard York
The charge to cover room hire and any speaker costs is shared between
those who attend each meeting - the more the cheaper!
Our purpose is to inspire joy and excellence in coaching, to widen
coaching opportunities especially locally and to share our challenges,
ideas, learning and successes.
Meetings include a specific topic each time, a core focus on
coaching competencies and inspiring coaching values, and one-one
and/or group practical coaching sessions for YOU!
