For the last 15 years we have worked with more than 20,000 leaders, managers, teams, trainers and consultants worldwide through either our open courses, or privately held customised internal trainings. Our Co-Active Coaching book has been an industry best seller since its publication and is used as a key text and reference book in the vast majority of coach training undertaken around the world.
As a leading-edge school of coaching, our founders' involvement with the coaching industry and International Coach Federation (ICF) from its very inception has resulted in a significant influence on the industry, including much of the framework adapted by the ICF to represent coaching competencies and ethics. Indeed, CTI became the very first organisation to be accredited by the ICF. In the UK we are the most established school offering ICF accredited face-to-face learning. We have been offering our training since 1999.
The quality of our training is unequalled
To develop coaching skills with CTI requires an investment of time and energy by the individual and by CTI. And that’s why we only train 300 coaches a year in the UK, and work with a limited number of elite blue-chip organisations.
Everyone who trains with us starts by training in a small face to face group for 5 months, for 3 days a month. Our maximum class size is 26. Each class is led by 2 trainers and 2 assistants. Initial training in coaching skills just doesn’t work in large groups or by distant learning. This approach gives people the individual attention that challenges and stretches them to become the best coach they can be.
Many people then go on to become Certified Co-Active Coaches. Our certification programme was one of the first to be created and was used by the ICF as their basis for accrediting coaches. This shows you the calibre of the programme. Again your group is small. There are a maximum of 9 participants with 1 leader. The programme lasts 6 months and is extremely intensive.
The attention doesn’t stop after the course is over. During and after the training you have access to free mentoring with Senior Coaches who have proven experiencing of setting up coaching businesses, and applying a coach-like approach to work.
The coaching community is one of the most supportive in the world. Coaches know how to support one another. Train as a coach and you will have guidance, wisdom and support from coaches at all stages in their careers.
Mentoring Calls When you train as a Co-Active Coach with CTI you are not on your own. As well as the informal support from the people you are training with CTI offers ongoing help and guidance in the form of mentoring calls. These calls are free and they are available to you at any time during or after your training.
These calls are one-on-one sessions with Senior Coaches from our team; coaches who’ve been there and done it. They’re the perfect opportunity to ask any question about coaching. We’ve covered everything from supporting new coaches in developing their business, to ideas for how to design workshops, to helping coaches learn and develop from difficult calls with their clients.
Coaching Communities People who train together as Co-Active Coaches share powerful experiences and deep friendships are formed.
The Co-Active Network There’s an active community of Co-Active Coaches out there. It is open to anyone who is interested in Co-Active Coaching. The Co-Active Network is there to support your ongoing personal and professional development. Click here to find out more.
